The skeletal remains of a human hand have been found along the Muskingum River, and authorities are trying to determine whether the discovery is connected to any missing-persons cases.
A person hunting for arrowheads in the Eagleport area on State Route 669 in Morgan County made the discovery.
The Morgan County Sheriff's Office says deputies searched the area and also collected several unspecified items of interest.
Authorities told 10TV the remains were sent to the Criminal Intelligence Analysis Division of the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation to conduct DNA testing and analyze the items for clues to help identify the remains
