GROVEPORT, Ohio — One person was critically injured when they were struck by an SUV in the Groveport area Sunday night, according to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
Around 11:20 p.m., a 2019 Ford Fusion stopped on Alum Creek Drive in front of a Sheetz gas station. The sheriff's office said a passenger was at the back of the vehicle securing an item in the trunk while the driver was inside the vehicle.
A 2019 Toyota C-HR was heading northbound on Alum Creek Drive, but did not see the Ford Fusion. The Toyota struck the passenger and the vehicle.
The passenger was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition.
The sheriff’s office did not say whether the Toyota stayed at the scene.
