COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Franklin County grand jury has indicted a 20-year-old woman on murder charges in connection to the fatal shooting of a man at a northeast Columbus apartment complex last month.

Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called on a report of a shooting in the 1900 block of Deborah Court, located near Morse Road, just before 11:20 p.m. on Nov. 18. When they arrived, they found 24-year-old Darreion Davis who was shot in the head.

Police said Davis was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital in life-threatening condition. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 6:43 p.m. two days later.

Officers arrested Alise Schlaegel, who was indicted Monday on two counts of murder, each one carrying a three-year firearm specification.

Witnesses told police that Schlaegel was in the living room and in possession of a firearm when Davis allegedly came down and messed with the stereo.

She is being held on a $1 million bond.
