LICKING COUNTY, Ohio — Police say a 12-year-old boy was hurt after being hit by a vehicle Sunday morning on Johnstown-Utica Road Northwest in Licking County.
Licking County Sheriff Randy Thorp says the boy was hit by the vehicle shortly after 10 a.m.
The child was flown by medical helicopter to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus. The child is conscious, but police did not give an exact condition.
According to police, the driver stayed at the scene.
Editor's Note: Police initially told 10TV that the boy who was hit by a vehicle was 8 years old. Police now say the boy was 12 years old.
