OSHP: 6-year-old seriously injured after being struck by vehicle in southwest Ohio

WARREN COUNTY, Ohio — A 6-year-old boy is seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle in Warren County Saturday evening, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers were called on a report of a crash at 6 p.m. on Hendrickson Road in Middletown. 

OSHP says a Ford Explorer was traveling east on Hendrickson Road. A 6-year-old boy entered the lane on Hendrickson Road from the south side of the roadway and was struck by the Ford.

The boy was first transported to Atrium Medical Center and then later brought to Dayton Children's Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver and her passenger were not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
