OSHP: 59-year-old motorcyclist killed in Fairfield County crash

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Ohio — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a vehicle in Fairfield County Thursday afternoon, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Officers were called on a report of a crash just before 2:45 p.m. on Tarlton Road near Dozer Road, located just outside of Circleville.

A 2020 Harley Davidson Motorcycle, operated by 59-year-old Leroy Clark IV, of Stoutsville, was traveling westbound on Tarlton Road. Meanwhile, a 2022 Hyundai Tucson was traveling eastbound on Tarlton Road.

The Hyundai made a left-hand turn in front of the motorcycle to go northbound on Dozer Road. The motorcycle struck the Hyundai and traveled off the right side of the roadway. 

The driver of the Hyundai was transported by medics for minor injuries. Clark succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The crash is currently under investigation.
