COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A $5,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to the arrest or indictment of who is responsible for the deaths of a Columbus couple, according to Central Ohio Crime Stoppers.
On June 27, 2019, patrol officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Pauline Avenue at 2:55 p.m. on a report of two people found unresponsive by relatives at the home.
Officers found the body of Sharon Fadley in the living room. Donald Fadley was found on the bathroom floor with a faint pulse. He was taken to the hospital where he died a short time later.
Sharon and Donald Fadley were longtime members of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and lived in the North Linden area for more than 20 years.
Family remembers them as "great, loving people."
Sisters Angela Howell and Tysia Spriggs describe their mother and stepfather as caring, loving and generous.
During the investigation, detectives determined that the incident happened between June 25 after 7 p.m. and June 27 at 2 p.m.
Detectives said the Fadleys had been beaten on the head and face with a hard object.
"Oh, it’s been a nightmare, a living nightmare. I’ve never had, never dreamed we’d have to live through something like this, ever," Spriggs said. "This is stuff that happens on TV, not to us."
Police said they have a person of interest in the case.
While following up on leads to the case, officers responded to the Lowe's store at Morse Crossing and watched video recordings of a man buying tools, flashlights, and a knife.
He was seen driving away in a black SUV, possibly a 1998-2003 Dodge Durango, which may have a handicap placard.
Police said the man is white, middle-aged, and was seen wearing camouflage pants, a white t-shirt and a baseball cap.
The family of Sharon and Donald Fadley is partnering with Crime Stoppers to offer the $5,000 reward.

"We pray every day that somebody would call in and give information, just so that person, they should not be out on the street because if they could do something so brutal to two elderly people that would do anything for anyone, what would they do to anybody else," Howell said. "And we just want justice for our parents."
