3 injured in head-on crash with school bus in southeast Columbus

The crash happened in the area of Chatterton and Retriever roads between Noe Bixby and Brice roads around 4:30 p.m.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Three people were injured in a head-on crash involving a Groveport-Madison school bus and an SUV in southeast Columbus on Monday.

The crash happened in the area of Chatterton and Retriever roads between Noe Bixby and Brice roads around 4:30 p.m.

The Columbus Division of Police said there were no children on the bus and only the driver was in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Two people were taken to Mount Carmel East hospital and their conditions were described as stable.

A third person was taken to Grant Medical Center, but their condition was not known. The bus driver was not injured, according to a spokesperson with the district.

Chatterton Road is shut down due to the crash.
