CHESTER TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Two people have died following a single-vehicle crash in Morrow County on Sunday morning.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 6:30 a.m. on County Road 25 at State Route 314.
OSHP says 48-year-old Edward Virgin of Marengo, Ohio, failed to stop at a stop sign and struck an embankment.
Virgin was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the car, identified as 40-year-old Charity Virgin, was transported to Ohio Health Mansfield where she later died from her injuries.
She was wearing a seatbelt, according to OSHP.
It is unknown if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation
