FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Ohio - Two people are dead in a crash that happened in Fairfield County on Tuesday, according to the Fairfield County Sheriff's Office.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the two-vehicle crash happened around 6:30 a.m. on US-22, otherwise known as Cincinnati-Zanesville Road, just southwest of Lancaster.
According to OSHP, 39-year-old Douglas Starcher Jr. was traveling east on US-22 in a Lincoln LS and went left of center and hit a Subaru Impreza driven by 55-year-old Charles Shaw in the westbound lane.
Both drivers died from their injuries at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
