3rd suspect arrested, charged following shooting near southeast Columbus gas station

The Chillicothe Police Department said they arrested 26-year-old Caleb Johnson Thursday afternoon.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A third suspect has been arrested and charged in connection to a shooting near a southeast Columbus gas station earlier this month that left a 25-year-old man dead.

The Chillicothe Police Department said they arrested 26-year-old Caleb Johnson Thursday afternoon. Johnson is charged with aggravated murder and four counts of felonious assault.

Another man and a woman were arrested and charged in the incident last week.

According to Franklin County Municipal Court records, Danielle Hardy and D'Angelo Gravely have each been charged with one count of murder and four counts of felonious assault.

Officers were called to a gas station located at the corner of Noe-Bixby and Refugee roads at 1:40 a.m. on June 14 for a reported shooting.

When police arrived, they found Jahaan Harris unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound.

Harris was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead just after 2:30 a.m., police say.

A preliminary investigation shows the shooting may have happened behind the gas station at an apartment complex in the 2700 block of Brandy Drive.

Court records say Hardy, Gravely and Johnson coordinated with a group of people to follow Harris and several others as they walked from a gas station on Noe-Bixby Road onto Refugee Road.

Hardy, Gravely, Johnson and the individuals they were with followed the group through an apartment complex when the two and several others started shooting, records say.

The incident is still under investigation.

Hardy is being held on a $1 million bond. She is scheduled to appear back in court on June 28.  Gravely is being held on a $2 million bond. He will appear back in court on July 1.
