OSHP: 19-year-old dead after crashing in Morrow County

Seat belts were not used at the time of the crash and alcohol/drugs are suspected factors in the crash, according to OSHP.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 19-year-old man is dead and another is seriously injured after a crash in Morrow County early Friday morning, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Jack Allen, of Cardington, was driving a Ford Focus westbound on Township Road 232 around 4:45 a.m. when he reportedly drove off the left side of the road and overturned into a creek.

OSHP says he was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. A passenger inside the vehicle was taken to Morrow County Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Seat belts were not used at the time of the crash and alcohol/drugs are suspected factors in the crash, according to OSHP.

The crash remains under investigation.
