16-year-old injured when more than 50 shots are fired at Columbus house

Police said the girl was shot in her leg and will recover.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus police said a 16-year-old girl was hurt when more than 50 shots were fired at a house Tuesday night.

Police said the girl was standing in the kitchen of a house on Jermain Drive, near Mock Road and Woodland Avenue in the North Central area of the city, when the shots were fired just before 11:30 p.m.

She was shot in her leg and taken to a local hospital, police said.

Police said she will recover.

Investigators determined at least 56 shots were fired at the home.

Police do not have any information about a possible suspect.
