Police: Teen in critical condition after being shot multiple times in South Linden

Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called to the area of Hamilton Avenue and East 21st Street around 10:30 p.m.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 15-year-old boy was critically injured after police said he was shot multiple times in the South Linden neighborhood Monday night.

Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called to the area of Hamilton Avenue and East 21st Street. Police said a K-9 officer heard multiple gunshots while driving in the area. 

An officer was flagged down by a witness who said that the teen was shot multiple times.

He was taken to Nationwide Children's Hospital in critical condition.

Information on what led to the shooting was not available.
