OSHP: 15 to 17 vehicles involved in Madison County crash on I-70

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 5:30 a.m. just west of West Jefferson.

WEST JEFFERSON, Ohio — The westbound lanes of Interstate 70 in Madison County have reopened following a crash involving at least 15 vehicles in Madison County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 5:30 a.m. just west of West Jefferson.

OSHP said there are minor injuries as a result of the crash.

Lt. Nathan Dennis with OSHP said the crash appears to be weather related. The Ohio Department of Transportation treated the roadway.

The westbound lanes were close for just over two and a half hours.
