One person was killed in a shooting in west Columbus Monday afternoon.
Police were called just after 5:30 p.m. on the report of a shooting in the rear of the 100 block of Belvidere Avenue.
Officers arrived to find a victim injured from gun shot wound. The man, 26-year-old Alonzo Edwards was taken to a local hospital in critical condition where he later died.
According to police, witnesses say the shooting near Wrexham Park one block from where the victim was found.
No suspect information was immediately available.
