Police: Pedestrian killed in south Columbus hit-and-run

Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene at 12:55 a.m.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a vehicle on the city's south side early Saturday, according to the Columbus Division of Police.

Police said a pedestrian was hit at Parsons Avenue and Leach Drive just before 1 a.m. by an unknown vehicle.

The vehicle did not stop, police said.

Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene at 12:55 a.m.

A description of the vehicle involved in the crash was not immediately provided. The crash remains under investigation.
