COLUMBUS, Ohio — A woman was killed and two others were injured in a vehicle crash involving a wrong-way driver in Pickaway County just before midnight on Saturday.
According to Pickaway County Sheriff Matthew Hafey, the sheriff's office received a report of a wrong-way driver at 11:24 p.m. on U.S. Route 23, south of Tarlton Road. The sheriff said they received another call at 11:25 p.m. that the driver crashed into another vehicle.
Deputies and Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers were sent to the scene.
When they arrived, deputies learned that a person driving a Dodge Ram northbound in the southbound lanes, near Radcliffe Road, collided with 42-year-old Tisha Nida, who was driving a Kia. Nida was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff's office.
The driver of the Ram was flown to Grant Medical Center and the passenger was taken to Adena Regional Medical Center.
This crash remains under investigation.
