COLUMBUS, Ohio — A bicyclist was killed when they were struck by a vehicle on the city's south side Friday night, according to the Columbus Division of Police.
Police said an adult was riding a bicycle in the area of South High Street and Southgate Drive at 10:20 p.m.
The adult was then hit by an unknown vehicle traveling on the road. The vehicle did not stop after hitting the bicyclist, police said.
Medics transported the bicyclist to Grant Medical Center in critical condition, where they were pronounced dead at 3:33 a.m. Their identity has not been released.
Description of the vehicle involved in the crash was not immediately provided.
