Police: 1 injured following shooting in north Columbus

It's unclear what led up to the shooting.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person was injured during a shooting in north Columbus Wednesday evening, police say.

Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called on a report of a shooting around 7:40 p.m. in the 800 block of East Como Avenue, located in North Linden.

One person was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. Sgt. Joseph Albert said that the victim is now in stable condition.

It's unclear what led up to the shooting. 

Albert said early reports indicate that a known suspect shot the victim and left the area in a white Nissan Altima.
