MARION COUNTY, Ohio -- A woman was killed Wednesday morning in a crash involving a car and a semi-truck in Marion County.
It happened around 4 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. Route 23, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers say 28-year-old Rachel Sullivan, of Marion, was traveling eastbound on Bethlehem Road when she failed to stop at the intersection, crashing underneath the trailer of a semi going south on US-23.
The vehicles traveled a short distance south of the intersection before coming to a stop. Both the car and the trailer became engulfed in flames.
Sullivan was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The semi driver and passenger were not injured in the crash.
