1 dead, 1 injured after vehicle crash in southwest Franklin County

The sheriff’s office, along with Pleasant Township medics, responded to the crash where they learned that the driver and passenger in a Malibu were injured.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person is dead and another is injured after a two-vehicle crash in southwest Franklin County early Sunday.

At approximately 2:40 a.m., a Chevy Malibu and a Ford F-150 were traveling on Harrisburg Pike, near Pleasant Valley Area Battelle Darby Creek Park, when they collided head-on, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office

The sheriff’s office, along with Pleasant Township medics, responded to the crash where they learned that the driver and passenger in the Malibu were injured. Both were taken to the hospital where the passenger later died, the sheriff’s office said.

The driver of the F-150 was treated at the scene.

The sheriff’s office is investigating the crash.
