1 dead, 1 injured following double motorcycle crash in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio — A double motorcycle crash in Franklin County left one person dead and another injured Sunday evening, according to the county sheriff's office.

Deputies were called on a report of a crash around 6:35 p.m. on state Route 665 near Borror Road in Jackson Township.

FCSO said a 1999 Honda motorcycle and a 2005 Honda motorcycle were traveling eastbound on state Route 665 just west of Borror Road when witnesses say an unknown vehicle turned southbound onto Borror Road.

Both motorcyclists laid on their brakes in an attempt to avoid hitting the vehicle.

The motorcyclists were both transported to Mount Carmel Grove City following the crash.

The driver of the 1999 Honda motorcycle died of their injuries at the hospital, FCSO said. The driver of the 2005 Honda motorcycle is said to be in stable condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
