Mario has a new job, according to an update on Nintendo's website.
His official profile in Japan no longer says he is a plumber. Nintendo now says Mario does everything cool "whether it's tennis or baseball, soccer or car racing."
Mario made his first appearance in "Donkey Kong" as a carpenter named "Jump Man" back in 1981. Then, in 1982, the original "Mario Bros" game was released. That's when Mario first grabbed his plunger.
Video game experts say Mario’s next big game will be Super Mario Odyssey, which will release for the Nintendo Switch in October.
