November 7 is the anniversary of the death of 10TV anchor Heather Pick.
Pick died in 2008 after a lengthy battle with breast cancer.
Her battle with cancer began with a diagnosis in 1999, when she worked as an anchorwoman at the NBC affiliate in Rockford, Ill. In 2004, two years into her life working at WBNS, she learned that the cancer had not only returned but moved to her spine and pelvis.
Pick became a role model for many as she battled the disease and inspired the community.
The Heather Pick Spirit Fund is still raising money for the battle against cancer.
