DeWine: Anyone who wants a COVID-19 test can now get one

He added that pop-up testing across the state will begin Friday in Columbus.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Gov. Mike DeWine announced that any Ohioan who wants a COVID-19 test can now receive a test even if they are low-risk or not showing symptoms.

DeWine made the announcement Thursday during his briefing on the virus.

"We’re encouraging anyone that wants a test to talk to their health care provider or contact a testing location to arrange a test.  By understanding who is sick, whether they are showing symptoms or not, we are able to better prevent the spread of the COVID-19," he said.

He added that pop-up testing across the state will begin Friday in Columbus.

The list of locations in Columbus are provided below:

  • Heart of Ohio Family Health | 2365 Innis Road | 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Heart of Ohio Family Health | 882 South Hamilton Road | 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • PrimaryOne Health at Columbus West Family Health & Wellness Center | 2300 West Broad Street | 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • PrimaryOne Health at John R. Maloney Family Health & Wellness | 1905 Parsons Avenue | 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • PrimaryOne Health at Agler Road | 3433 Agler Road | 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • PrimaryOne Health at St. Stephens Community House | 1500 East 17th Avenue | 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The pop-up locations will also happen soon in other cities.
