Inside the Hall Funeral Home in Proctorville, about 100 friends and family paid their final respects to 50-year-old Donald McGuire and his wife 43-year-old Tammy McGuire.
The Sheriff says the couple were among four people shot to death October 11 by family member Arron Lawson.
Lawson was captured 36 hours after the quadruple murder that also involved the murders of 24-year-old Stacy Holston and her son 8-year-old Devin.
Lawson was indicted on 13 charges including aggravated murder, felonious assault, and rape. The Lawrence County Sheriff has not released a motive at this time. A bond hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
Charles Taylor, the father of Tammy, grandfather of Stacy and the great-grandfather of Devin, says the murders have torn the family apart.
He was asked what he would say to the man daughter's murder.
"Why did he take Devin's life? He was only 8-years-old. He didn't deserve that but you never know what's going through someone's mind," he said.
Burial services for Tammy and her son Devin will be held Thursday in Ironton.
