It was standing room only inside a church as more than a hundred family and friends said goodbye to six members of a Pike County family killed nearly two weeks ago.
The Rhoden’s were killed April 22 and so far investigators have yet to make an arrest or say what the motive is behind the mass murders.
No one from the Rhoden family wanted to speak Tuesday, but a spokesperson for Ohio Crisis Team, which is providing emotional support to the family, called Tuesday's funeral the most emotional he'd ever experienced.
One by one, a hearse carrying each of the six bodies of the Rhoden family slowly rolled down the driveway of the Dry Run Church of Christ.
Christopher Rhoden Sr. , his ex-wife Dana, Clarence "Frankie" Rhoden, Christopher Rhoden Jr. (a Freshman at Piketon High School), Kenneth Rhoden and Hannah Rhoden were all buried Tuesday.
David Dickerson, a victim advocate for the Pike County Prosecutors office spoke on behalf of the family.
“They're beyond devastation, but hopefully soon some healing will begin I don't know when but I hope soon for their sake they're a very loving and tight family,” he said.
Since the murders 11 days ago, detectives say they've collected 100 pieces of evidence and received 450 tips and conducted nearly 130 interviews.
