Former Police Chief Takes Over As Delaware County Sheriff

Former Delaware Police Chief Russell Martin takes on a new role in Delaware County today. Get the story.

Former Delaware Police Chief Russell Martin was sworn in as the Delaware County Sheriff on Monday.

Martin, who served as the police chief for nearly eight years, replaced embattled former sheriff Walter Davis.

Davis stepped down in April amid allegations that he used county money improperly.

In May, the Delaware County Republican Central Committee chose Martin over four other candidates.
