A former Hilliard Weaver Middle School teacher and boy's basketball coach was sentenced onFriday to more than a decade in prison for child pornography charges.
Michael S. Highman was sentenced to 11 years and three months for sharing more than 200,000images and movies of prepubescent teenage boys engaged in sexual acts over the Internet, 10TV Newsreported.
Highman, 43, was also fined $5,000 and ordered to register as a sex offender after beingreleased from prison.
Highman pleaded guilty in December to one count of distribution of child porn afterinvestigators found hundreds of thousands of images on his home computer last fall.
At his sentencing hearing, a judge said that investigators also found non-pornographic videosof boys Highman had coached shooting basketball without their shirts on.
During an October search of Highman's Upper Arlington home, investigators found images andmovies, including a hard drive containing child pornography that was hidden in the ceiling of hisbasement.
