A female police deputy was taken to the hospital after being hit by a drunk driver in northeast Columbus.
The accident happened at Hamilton Road and SR-161.
Police say the deputy was headed north on Hamilton Road when the drunk driver took a wide turn and smashed into her cruiser, causing airbags in both cars to deploy.
The driver who hit the deputy was given a field sobriety test. When they failed that test, they were arrested and taken to jail.
The injured deputy was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries, but is expected to be okay.
