Police are investigating a deadly shooting near the Ohio State University.
Police were called around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday when shots were fired in the area of Summit Street and East Tompkins Street.
Officers tell 10TV they found Paul Gibson, 33, lying in the middle of the street with a gunshot wound. A second person was hit by a truck at the scene.
Gibson was taken to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in critical condition but later died.
He was a father to four children.
The person who was hit by the truck is expected to be alright but police are questioning him and the truck driver to see if they can provide information about the shooter.
Investigators say the gunman was seen running from the scene wearing a white shirt and a scarf.
