Nearly 200 families were allowed back in their homes late Monday night after a tanker haulinganhydrous ammonia flipped on its side, forcing authorities to order an evacuation.
The crash occurred Monday afternoon around 3 p.m. along State Route 13 at Beckley Road betweenFredericktown and Mount Vernon, 10TV's Kevin Landers reported.
Two emergency shelters were opened for those living in 195 nearby homes that were evacuatedafter authorities feared the tanker's cargo might be leaking.
Knox County sheriff's deputies told 10TV News no ammonia escaped, and the ammonia was safelyremoved from the scene.
No injuries were reported from the crash or the evacuation.
