HILLIARD, Ohio — Five people were arrested Wednesday evening following a police pursuit through multiple counties that ended in Hilliard, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Authorities said officers with the Ashland Police Division were pursuing a vehicle that was involved in a robbery.
Troopers joined the pursuit on Interstate 71 southbound near state Route 13 in Richland County at 7:42 p.m.
According to OSHP, the pursuit ended on I-270 near Cemetery Road. Authorities did not say how long the pursuit lasted.
Four suspects attempted to run but were immediately taken into custody, OSHP said. Other law enforcement agencies assisted with the arrests.
OSHP said one of the suspects remained in the vehicle and was taken into custody. The five suspects were released to the Ashland Police Department. Charges are pending against the suspects.
