Police: Suspect robs home after holding owners at gunpoint near Worthington

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Authorities are searching for a suspect accused of holding two people at gunpoint while robbing their home near Worthington on Wednesday.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, an unknown suspect confronted the homeowners around 7 a.m. in the 1000 block of Woodman Drive located in the Olentangy Highlands neighborhood off Linworth and Olentangy River roads.

Police said the suspect approached the homeowners with a gun and demanded cash and valuables. 

The suspect searched through the home while threatening the victims, according to police.

The suspect took undisclosed items from the home and drove away in a black SUV.

The suspect was described as a man in his 30s, 5 feet 10 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall with an athletic build. He was wearing a light-colored hoodie and armed with a silver handgun.
