COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police released photos of the suspect they believe was involved in an armed robbery and shooting at a hotel in north Columbus on Nov. 28 that left one man injured.
Officers were called to a shooting inside a hotel room at the Norwood Inn and Suites, located at 1213 East Dublin Granville Rd. Upon arrival, they found a 39-year-old man who police say was shot in the abdomen.
According to police, the victim and witnesses at the scene told officers that the suspect demanded money from the victim and struck the victim across the head with a firearm. After taking money, police said he demanded more and shot the victim before fleeing in a silver sedan with tinted windows.
The injured man was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital and is described by police as “stable.”
The suspect is described by police as a man who is approximately 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs between 180 to 200 pounds. According to police, he has a beard and was wearing a long coat with fur around the hoods and dark pants with a white stripe at the time of the incident.
