Police: Woman injured in reported stabbing at Easton hotel

Police said a woman and a man walked into urgent care. Officers determined that the stabbing reportedly happened at Aloft Hotels in Easton.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A woman was reportedly stabbed at a hotel near Easton Town Center Friday morning, according to the Columbus Division of Police.

Dispatchers told 10TV that a woman and a man walked into WellNow Urgent Care at 2880 Stelzer Road. Dispatchers added that the man had blood all over him, but it wasn’t apparent that he had any wounds.

The woman was taken to Mount Carmel East Hospital for further treatment. She is expected to be OK, police said.

Columbus police received a call about the stabbing at 7:26 a.m. Officers determined that the reported stabbing happened at the Aloft Hotel, located at 4176 Brighton Rose Way. 

The case is being investigated as a possible self-defense incident.

A person of interest in the incident was identified, interviewed and released, according to police.
