COLUMBUS, Ohio — Authorities are searching for two people who fired shots near Ohio State University's campus early Tuesday morning.
According to a public safety notice from the university, Columbus police officers heard gunshots and responded to the area of Chittenden Avenue and North Pearl Alley around 1 a.m. Arriving officers couldn't find any suspects or victims.
Camera footage in the area shows two people in a white Nissan Maxima engaged with two other people on motorbikes. The university says shots were fired from the Nissan toward the two people on the bikes, but they were not struck. All the vehicles left the scene after the shots were fired.
The shots did shatter a university office window on East 11th Avenue. No one was inside the office at the time and no injuries were reported.
