COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person is in custody after a reported shooting in the Franklinton neighborhood Wednesday morning, police said.
Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called to the 1700 block of West Broad Street just before 6:10 a.m. for an initial stabbing report. When they arrived, the victim was found shot.
Police dispatchers told 10TV that the shooting victim was taken to Grant Medical Center and is expected to survive their injuries. Investigators also determined that the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute.
Investigators identified the suspect in the shooting, 18-year-old Jaden Bailey, and charged him with felonious assault.
He is expected to appear in Franklin County Municipal Court on March 22.
