COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 32-year-old man was arrested after three people were shot near Weinland Park Thursday night, according to the Columbus Division of Police.
Officers were called to East 5th Avenue and Summit Street on a reported shooting. They found two adults who were shot in the torso. They were transported to local hospitals to be treated for their injuries.
Police said a third adult who was shot multiple times transported themselves to the hospital. The three shooting victims are expected to be OK.
The suspected gunman, 32-year-old Willie Stephens, was arrested and charged with three counts of felonious assault. He was indicted on those charges on Oct. 11.
