COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police released new photos of two vehicles that were seen leaving a nightclub downtown the night where two men were shot and killed earlier this month.
Officers were called to Noir Lounge, located at 15 West Cherry St., on Feb. 5 after receiving a report of a shooting around 1:15 a.m.
When they arrived, officers found two men, 25-year-old Nigel Jackson and 24-year-old Percell Scott III, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Officers provided aid to the men until medics arrived and pronounced both dead at 1:25 a.m.Detectives said the men were patrons of the bar.
Police did not release further details about possible suspects or what led to the shooting.
On Feb. 21, Columbus police released new photos of two vehicles that were seen leaving the area. Homicide detectives are asking for help in identifying the owner of the vehicles.
The owner of the bar told 10TV that it is believed there wasn't a fight inside the establishment and staff members were not involved.
"Noir Lounge and its staff are actively assisting the Columbus Division of Police in their investigation of the senseless violence that occurred last night near our location. Out of respect for the victims, we are withholding further comment until police complete their analysis," the owner said in a statement.
There have been some noise complaints at Noir Lounge, but no other issues, according to Columbus City Attorney Zach Klein's office.
