Police identify man shot, killed in South Linden

Police say that the actual scene of the shooting was determined to be in the 900 block of East 19th Avenue.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police has identified the victim who was fatally shot in South Linden on Thursday as a 21-year-old man.

Officers were called to the 900 block of East 21st Avenue around 5:05 a.m. Upon arrival, officers located two people in a Chevrolet Malibu who were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Police said the Malibu had struck several parked cars in the area before stopping.

The two were taken to Grant Medical Center where police said Tay Shaun Robinson was pronounced dead at 5:38 a.m. Police said other person, who is a juvenile, was stable.

Police say that the actual scene of the shooting was determined to be in the 900 block of East 19th Avenue.

Homicide detectives are asking anyone in the area with exterior cameras to review their video and contact police if they believe they have footage related to the incident.
