GROVE CITY, Ohio — Authorities continue to search for a man who escaped police custody last week after he allegedly kidnapped a woman in Grove City.
Quinntel Bagley, 38, is wanted for aggravated burglary and kidnapping. Police say he has an extensive criminal history and is also a registered sex offender. He is also considered to be armed and dangerous.
On June 13, Grove City police responded to a report of a missing woman. Detectives learned that Bagley surprised the woman at her home, grabbed her and forced her into his vehicle.
The woman was found at a gas station three hours after the first report was issued. Officers also found Bagley and arrested him a short time later.
Grove City officers escorted Bagley to a cruiser after receiving treatment at Fairfield Medical Center. Police say he escaped officers and ran out of a parking garage and into a wooded area nearby.
Bagley reportedly broke into a home, stole a Hyundai Sante Fe and drove away, according to police. The vehicle was located in the area of U.S. 33 and Hamilton Road.
He was last seen on foot wearing tan clothing when he tried to carjack someone.
Grove City police ask anyone who spots Bagley to not approach him and to immediately call 911.
