REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio — A second gun was recovered at Reynoldsburg High School on Thursday, one day after another gun was confiscated from a student, according to police.
Superintendent Tracy Reed said in a letter to parents the district was informed about a second weapon that was hidden at the school Thursday afternoon.
Officers with the Reynoldsburg Police Department retrieved the gun. Law enforcement swept the school and did not find any additional weapons.
A district spokesperson said the school was not placed on lockdown because there was no immediate threat or danger.
On Wednesday, the school was placed on lockdown around 2:30 p.m. for reports of firearms. Police said a gun was recovered from a student's possession and they were taken into custody. No one was injured.
