COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Pike County man was sentenced to at least a decade in prison for the attempted rape of an 11-year-old girl.
According to court records, 64-year-old Tony Bowling pleaded guilty to the charge in a plea deal. He received 10-15 years and must register as a Tier III sex offender.
As part of the plea deal, one count of rape and three counts of gross sexual imposition were dismissed.
The investigation into Bowling began in September 2021 when the Pike County Sheriff’s Office were notified.
After investigating the report and conducting interviews, Bowling was arrested in December 2021.
