COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man was arrested early Saturday after allegedly attempting to hit three people with his vehicle following an argument in east Columbus.
The argument reportedly started outside a home in the 1800 block of Noe Bixby Road in the Pine Hills neighborhood near Big Walnut Park. Columbus police say the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Alexander Oglesby, drove his vehicle off the road in an attempt to hit three people.
According to police, tire tracks show that Oglesby drove toward the victims who were approximately 40 yards away in the grass in front of their house.
One of the victims reportedly fired shots at Oglesby in self-defense and hit him.
Oglesby was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for the injury.
He was charged with three counts of felonious assault and taken to the Franklin County jail.
