MANSFIELD, Ohio — A man accused of shooting and killing a teenage boy at a Mansfield hotel was taken into custody in Columbus.
The Mansfield Police Department said 31-year-old Monteles Holland was arrested Tuesday morning at an apartment on Kimberly West Drive.
Holland was wanted in the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Nayshawn Lovett on Jan. 3.
Police said officers were called to the Quality Inn at 500 North Trimble Road after an employee reported hearing multiple gunshots inside. Officers found Lovett inside a stairwell with multiple gunshot wounds.
During the investigation, Holland was identified as the suspected shooter and charged with aggravated murder.
