Police: Man armed with gun, large hunting knife robs west Columbus gas station of cash, cigarettes

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police is searching for a man who robbed a gas station on the city's west side Tuesday morning.

According to police, a man walked into a BP gas station located at the corner of Hilliard-Rome and Feder roads around 3 a.m.

Police say the man walked into the gas station with a large hunting knife in his right hand and a handgun in his left hand and said, "This is a robbery."

The man demanded money from both registers and all the Marlboro Black Gold 100s cigarettes. He left the store and fled toward Fisher Road.

The suspect is between 20 and 30 years old. He is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs between 130 to 140 pounds.

At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black hoody with Reebok printed on the front, black pants, black shoes and a black mask.
