FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio — The Madison Township Police Department has identified the man who allegedly attempted to abduct a 12-year-old girl walking to school Friday morning.
Joseph Ennemoser, 48, was taken into custody Sunday afternoon and is charged with kidnapping and felony importuning, according to police.
Police say the girl was walking to Groveport Madison Middle School North. She was then approached by a man driving a white Chevrolet pickup truck in the area of Clearwater Drive and Fullerton Drive.
The girl’s parent was able to flag down a nearby officer. The man then left the scene.
Police say the student is safe and unharmed.
The police department asked neighbors in the area who have security videos to assist officers in identifying the suspect by checking their footage from the hours of 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.
Police say thanks to the tips they received Ennemoser was identified as a potential suspect due to similarities in events from an incident in September.
Last September, a 10-year-old girl told police she was walking to school when a man, identified as Ennemoser, exited his vehicle and exposed himself to her.
