GRANDVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Grandview Heights Division of Police is searching for a man who reportedly attempted to abduct a woman Wednesday night.
Police received a call at 9:30 p.m. about the attempted abduction on Baldwin Drive between Yard and Rail streets.
Authorities said a woman was walking to a house when a man wearing a surgical-type mask grabbed her from behind and attempted to pull her toward a nearby parking lot.
The woman was able to break free and run away while the suspect left the area and headed toward the parking lot. The woman told police that there was a vehicle in the parking lot that the suspect was attempting to pull her into.
The suspect was described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighed 190 pounds, with dark hair. Police said he was wearing a light, tan-colored sweater and dark-colored pants.
The surveillance cameras caught the suspect vehicle, which is believed to be a gold Chevrolet Cruz. Police said the vehicle circulated the area and left the parking lot after the reported incident.
